What We Know (& Don't Know)

There are quite a few voice lines in the alleged leak - enough to fill almost three minutes of video. The sheer volume of voice lines prompted one user, @lightossan, to suggest that Deadpool might be coming to Rivals soon.

It's a likely story - if the majority of the voice lines have already been recorded and programmed into the game, it means that Deadpool is likely in some kind of testing phase for Marvel Rivals. Of course, it could still be a while before we see him - additional voice lines were leaked as early as February, and he still hasn't been officially announced.

Still, the leaks come from a fairly reliable source. Like all leaks, they should be taken with a grain of salt. But X0XLEAK is, according to their own Twitter bio, a "team of self-taught dataminers." Most of the alleged leaks they share come directly from game files - not just player tips and rumors.

And anyway, the mere fact that they have audio files of Deadpool interacting with so many heroes who already exist in the game is very convincing. I don't think we'll see Deadpool any time this season, and there may be a chance next season - but for my money, I doubt we'll see Deadpool until at least Season 5.

Really, though, Deadpool's inclusion in Marvel Rivals is only a matter of time. Even if these voice lines hadn't been leaked, even if there hadn't been rumblings about his addition for months now, it would only make sense.

Deadpool is one of the most popular characters under the Marvel banner who's yet to be added to Rivals. He's basically a shoo-in - at this point, the only variables are when NetEase sees it fit to deploy him, and how his abilities work in-game.

Of course, Deadpool's inclusion has yet to be confirmed officially. But it's inevitable - at some point, he'll certainly join the Marvel Rivals roster.
